The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the quiet northern side near the Kenyan border. It is drier, less crowded, and more gradual than other routes, making it suitable for climbers who prefer a steady ascent. The route offers unique views of Kibo and is especially good during the rainy season.
